Hi all,
I am new in BPMS and would like to learn everything about YAWL ,i found some features in V4.3.1 but there are some questions about this version espicially ,can i get answers in the same following order?
1-are there other modelling or executing languages except YAWL in V4.3.1?
2-is there support for modelling using Business Rules or using engine to execute business rules?
3-are there reports ,pre-made templates for modelling, ?
4-can determine KPI?
if you can help me answer these questions , thank you!
1) V 4.3.1 is the version of YAWL, so no: there is only YAWL in YAWL.
2) YAWL is using a Petri-net based approach for modeling steps in a business process. The business rules are encoded in so-called split predicates in XOR and OR splits.
3) YAWL has been developed on the basis of an extensive workflow pattern analysis. YAWL implements the vast majority of those patterns using a minimal language set.
4) YAWL can create process logs in XES format. You can analyse these process logs using standard process mining tools (e. g. ProM) and determine all sorts of KPI.
thank you very much
I have some inquiries about this answers:
{{2) YAWL is using a Petri-net based approach for modeling steps in a business process. The business rules are encoded in so-called split predicates in XOR and OR splits.}} is that meaning: yawl does not use business rules alone and clearly? split predicates in XOR and OR splits what this?
{{YAWL has been developed on the basis of an extensive workflow pattern analysis. YAWL implements the vast majority of those patterns using a minimal language set.}}pattern: is that mean there is pre-defined reports or i can generate reports about process...and use pre-defined templates for modelling?

Hi,
let me try to answer your questions one by one:

4) YAWL can create process logs in XES format. You can analyse these process logs using standard process mining tools (e. g. ProM) and determine all sorts of KPI.
I hope this helps.
4)
another ask about your answers
thank you very much

If you want to know on a conceptual level how XOR and OR splits work have a look at this:

How this is done in YAWL can be found in the video tutorials:

is this version provided with ready-to-modify template processes.?
does support defining dashboard and charts?
does supports integration with the MS Sharepoint and MS outlook?
thx for help

thank you for help...
where can I found documentation for yawl community edition ?
